Priorities

Mona Singh has proudly called Wake County home since 1995. She and her husband, a Professor at NC State, have raised their two children here—both graduates of Wake County Public Schools. A nationally recognized technology expert, Mona holds 130 U.S. patents, has played a key role in major industry innovations that improve everyday lives, and has served as an expert witness in high-profile technology cases.
Beyond her career, Mona is deeply committed to service. She has led hunger relief efforts, refugee support programs, and community volunteer initiatives. She serves on the Board of Directors for Activate Good and the Town of Cary’s Information Services Advisory Board. A lifelong Democrat, Mona has served as a precinct leader, campaign organizer, canvasser, and canvassing trainer. She has trained hundreds of volunteers and collaborated with key Wake groups to flip key NC Senate seats.
Now, Mona is ready to bring her expertise in problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and community advocacy to the Wake County Commission. She is committed to strengthening public education, expanding access to healthcare, and improving transportation and infrastructure to support Wake County’s growing needs.
Let’s build a stronger Wake County—together.

Listen and Innovate
-
AI and smart technologies promise major benefits but not without risks
-
County services and policies should be geared toward serving the most people and building a stronger, more productive, and happier community
-
Mona will help Wake adopt smart technology to improve services while protecting privacy

Improve the Quality of Life
-
County services are siloed and don’t always serve residents most efficiently
-
Every resident deserves seamless access to critical services, such as housing, healthcare, public safety, and public transit
-
Mona will apply data-driven insights to create policies that enhance services and better align with community needs
